Susan Gee

Susan is one of the UK’s most respected and influential Occupational Health professionals, with over 40 years’ experience spanning public and private sector leadership, academia and national thought leadership.

Susan leads health and well-being strategy for large, complex workforces. Her expertise includes mental health, sickness absence management, workplace stress and long-term wellbeing, supporting both people and organisational performance at a strategic level.

Susan is widely recognised for her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly her work supporting Long COVID and workforce mental health, which has since been referenced as best practice across HR and OH communities.

Susan is a regular speaker at national conferences, including the MAD World Summit and HRreview’s Health at Work Summit. She’s a contributor to industry publications including Personnel Today and HRreview, and has featured on BBC Look North and wellbeing podcasts discussing mental health at work.

Her academic background includes an MSc in Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care, an MA in Health Care Law, and a BSc (Hons) in Public Health (Occupational Health), alongside her qualifications as a Registered Nurse and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (OH). Susan is also a visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, supporting the development of future OH professionals.

Susan also works in a non-executive and advisory capacity, supporting boards and senior leaders to strengthen health, wellbeing and culture at a strategic level.
